The Northern New York Community Foundation has given $5,000 in grants to St. Lawrence County Community Development Program's Neighborhood Centers to purchase food.
The dollars will be used to purchase food for the centers to distribute to families over the summer when children are eating more meals at home and not at school. This can be a challenging time for many, said a press release from the SLCCDP.
CDP's Neighborhood Centers are located in Canton, Colton/Parishville/Pierrepont, Gouverneur, Massena, Potsdam and Ogdensburg.
