POTSDAM – A North Lawrence man is dead after losing control of his motorcycle early this morning and crashing into a house at Main and Cedar streets.
Village police are continuing to investigate the accident that killed Jordan M. Coughlin, 27, at about 1:50 a.m. today.
He was driving a 2003 Suzuki motorcycle east on Main Street at a high rate of speed, lost control of the cycle and hit a house at 82 Main Street, police said. His body reportedly landed inside the house.
He was pronounced dead at the scene by Coroner June Wood. An autopsy is scheduled for Monday afternoon, police said.
Police were assisted at the scene by the St. Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department. Potsdam Volunteer Fire Department and the Potsdam Volunteer Rescue Squad.
