The North Country is in for a beautiful late-winter weekend.
Mostly clear skies and daytime temperatures much above normal will prevail this weekend, according to the National Weather Service, while the overnight low tonight will dip into the teens under clear skies.
Cloudy and rainy conditions will move in next week with the possibility of some snow by Tuesday night as temperatures drop.

The forecast for the St. Lawrence Valley and the northwestern Adirondacks:
• Today: Sunny, with a high near 42. Calm wind becoming north around 5 mph in the morning.
• Tonight: Mostly clear, with a low around 16. Light and variable wind.
• Sunday: Partly sunny, with a high near 54. Southeast wind 3 to 8 mph.
• Sunday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 38. South wind 8 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.
• Monday: A 40 percent chance of showers after 2pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 53. Breezy, with a south wind 10 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 31 mph. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.
• Monday Night: Rain likely. Cloudy, with a low around 38. Breezy, with a south wind 15 to 20 mph decreasing to 9 to 14 mph after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 31 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
