OGDENSBURG — North Country Sen. Patty Ritchie, R-Heuvelton, is applauding over $21 million in funding to help make possible a water infrastructure project in Ogdensburg.
The funds are being made available to communities as a result from Sen. Ritchie’s support in the recent state budget, which advocated to provide more funding for water projects across New York State.
“In order to keep our communities strong, healthy and an ideal place to attract future businesses, it’s vital to make investments in our region’s water infrastructure,” said Senator Ritchie. “I’m pleased to see these investments being made, which will go a long way in the future development and growth of the regional economy and to help safeguard public health.”
Ogdensburg will receive a $20 million zero interest loan which will assist in financing the costs of the design and construction of a wastewater treatment plant and improvements to a pump station.
