Sen. Joseph A. Griffo is participating in the state Senate's 2014 Summer Reading Program.
Any St. Lawrence County child can be registered at www.nyread.com or their local library.
They keep a handwritten or online log of what they have read, and those residing in Griffo's district will be recognized by him at the program's end.
Griffo represents the 47th Senate district, which includes Massena, Brasher, Norfolk, Stockholm, Potsdam, Pierrepont, Russell, Clifton, Fine and Pitcairn.
