Sen. Joseph Griffo, R-Rome, will be attending a Mass by Pope Francis today at Madison Square Garden.
“I am honored to have been invited by the Archdiocese of New York to attend today’s Mass celebrated by Pope Francis at Madison Square Garden. The Holy Father has become a refreshing voice in the Church, and I am pleased that he is sharing in New York his universally inspiring message of love and respect for life. As a Catholic, it is a privilege to hear Pope Francis celebrate Mass and share in the experience of his spirited visit to our state.”
Griffo represents the state’s 47th Senate District, including the towns of Massena, Brasher, Norfolk, Stockholm, Potsdam, Pierrepont, Russell, Clifton, Fine, and Pitcairn in St. Lawrence County, plus Lewis and Oneida counties.
