CANTON -- Theresa Phalon, President and COO of North Country Savings Bank, stopped by the Canton Farmers Market to present a check for $1,000 to GardenShare Executive Director Gloria McAdam and board member David Rice.
The bank's grant covers the cost of transaction fees for the use of credit or debit cards at all of the farmers markets in St. Lawrence County, allowing GardenShare to avoid passing those fees along to the farmers.
