CANTON -- North Country Public Radio’s Fall Fundraiser is underway, and they aim to set a new record by raising $350,000.
In keeping with the fundraising style they began using four years ago, there are no program interruptions, just short reminders of how to give online, by phone or by mail.
This approach has worked well and this year, the station is cutting down on the number of fundraising days, going from three weeks to two. Their fall effort concludes this weekend.
Money raised helps pay for local and regional reporting and station services.
Everyone who contacts NCPR during the fundraiser automatically will be entered in giveaway drawings with prizes including $500 gift cards, car emergency kits, smart speakers, headphones, and more.
The station airs news and information from NPR and other public radio sources, as well as the NCPR’s own weekday morning Eight O’clock Hour, a mix of national and local reporting.
NCPR’s award-winning news team is known nationally and contributes stories about the region to national public radio news programs.
To donate, visit ncpr.org/give, or call the station, 877-388-6277.
