CANTON -- Advocates of education in the North Country are to meet Thursday, Jan. 3 at 5 p.m. in the Canton Central School auditorium.
All of the North Country’s state representatives have been invited to attend so they may answer questions from constituents concerning state funding for education, and to outline their 2013 legislative agendas.
Invitees include Assemblywoman Addie J. Russell, D-Theresa, state Sen. Patricia A. Ritchie, R-Heuvelton, state Sen. Joseph A. Griffo, R-Rome, Assemblyman Kenneth D. Blankenbush, R-Black River, state Sen. Elizabeth O’C. Little, R-Queensbury, and Assemblyman Marc W. Butler, R-Newport.
The meeting is open to the public. All are encouraged to attend this discussion concerning the future of education in the North Country.
