Elise Stefanik of Willsboro, who hopes to capture the Republican nomination to run for Congress from the North Country, will speak today at the 47th Annual Conservative Party of New York State Political Action Conference in Albany.
Stefanik, a former policy aide in the George W. Bush White House who moved back to the North Country to participate in her family’s plywood business, will be introduced by Lake Placid accountant Doug Hoffman, the Conservative Party nominee for Congress in 2009 and 2010 who lost both times to Democrat Bill Owens.
“With the support of Conservatives, Republicans and Independents, we will win back this seat,” Stefanik said in announcing her appearance at the Albany conference.
