Elise Stefanik of Willsboro says her campaign for the 21st Congressional District seat has received the endorsement of the New York Federation of College Republicans.

The NYFCR includes more than 1,000 members across the North Country’s 21st Congressional District. Stefanik’s news release says the vote was unanimous.

“She’s a fresh face and brings new energy to the district,” said Jack Moulton, deputy chairman of the NYFCR.

“She understands the importance of job creation and small business growth in our district, as many college graduates are concerned about finding jobs after school,” Moulton said.

“The New York Federation of College Republicans endorsement is significant because these leaders are engaged and care deeply about the future of their country. They recognize the decisions made in Washington today will affect them and their future families the most,” Stefanik said.

Stefanik is campaigning for the Republican nomination for the seat in a primary with Watertown Republican Matt Doheny. The Democratic leadership in the district has anointed Democrat Aaron Woolf.
