POTSDAM — The North Country Children's Museum presents Adirondack Science Saturday, Feb. 11, from 12:30-2 p.m.
In this program, children will explore the geology of the Adirondacks learning about the common rocks, how they were formed, and how to identify them.
Dr. Will Rivers will lead the exploration of the geology of the area.
Doctors Ron Tavernier, Will Rivers and Dave Bradford will examine different ways animals evolved to survive Adirondack winters. Children will explore hibernation, migration and adaptations that allow animals to thrive during winter.
Programs at the Clarkson University Bookstore for children grades K-5 unless otherwise noted.
The cost is $10 per participant. Sign up for the whole season for a 20 percent discount.
