Assemblyman Ken Blankenbush, R-Black River, has been reappointed as ranking minority member of the Assembly Agriculture Committee and will also take on a new role as chairman of the Minority Joint Conference Committee, a significant position in the Assembly's Republican membership.
In that position, Blankenbush will serve as a representative of the Assembly Minority Conference at joint conference events held by the Legislature.
“This role will give me a voice for residents across New York, so I can continue to advocate for lowering taxes, creating meaningful new jobs, and improving the economic climate of the state," said Blankenbush.
He represents the 117th District, which includes the St. Lawrence County towns of DeKalb, Gouverneur, Hermon, Russell, Edwards, Fowler and Pitcairn, plus Lewis County and parts of Jefferson and Oneida counties.
