Norfolk woman with nine driving privilege suspensions charged with unlicensed operation

POTSDAM -- A Norfolk woman whose driving privileges have been suspended nine times previously was charged Tuesday with aggravated unlicensed operation following a traffic stop on Market Street, according to Potsdam police.

Billie Jo Planty, 34, Norfolk, was charged at 1:28 p.m. with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and unsafe lane change, officers said.

Police said following a traffic stop for an unsafe lane change they discovered that her driving privileges had been suspended nine times previously.

Planty was released on appearance tickets returnable to Potsdam court Dec. 19 at 9:30 a.m., officers said.
