NORFOLK -- The Northern New York Chapter of the American Red Cross recently selected Angela Blair of Norfolk as a volunteer of the month for the first quarter of 2013.

The volunteer of the month program recognizes dedicated Red Cross volunteers for their hard work and commitment to the humanitarian organization.

Blair was selected as the volunteer of the month for March. She has been a Disaster Action Team (DAT) volunteer for the chapter for one year.

As a member of the DAT team, Blair responds to disasters such as house fires and provides assistance and comfort to people displaced from their homes.

Blair also provides assistance with clerical support in the Red Cross’ Potsdam office.

Blair received a $25 gift card from Dunkin’ Donuts as a token of appreciation for her dedicated volunteer service.
