MASSENA -- A Norfolk woman is jailed on allegations that she hit a car in a parking lot while drunk and fled the scene, according to village police.

Michelle J. Parker, 40, of 201 County Rte. 38 is charged with driving while intoxicated, unsafe backing, leaving the scene of a property damage accident, consuming alcohol in a motor vehicle and refusal to take a breath test.

Parker allegedly hit another vehicle with her 2001 Ford in the parking lot at the Appearances salon on North Allen Street on Tuesday afternoon, police said.

Police charged her around 2:30 p.m. and she refused a breath test, according to court documents.

Parker was arraigned by Massena Town Justice Gerald Sharlow and remanded to the St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility, Canton, in lieu of $1,000 bail or $2,000 bond.
