NORFOLK – A Norfolk teen was arrested Wednesday after allegedly sending sexually inappropriate photos of himself to an underage girl via snap chat, according to St. Lawrence County sheriff’s deputies.
Garrett C. Waite, 17, was charged with disseminating indecent material to a minor, felony, second-degree coercion and endangering the welfare of a child, officers said.
Waite allegedly had contact with a female under the age of 17 via snap chat and sent inappropriate pictures to the female and attempted to solicit the female to sexual contact, deputies said.
He was arraigned before Norfolk Town Justice Donald Lustyik and released under the supervision of to appear in court at a later date.
Deputies say they were assisted by special agents of the Homeland Security Department.
The investigation is continuing and further charged are pending, officers said.
