NORFOLK – Investigators looking into the cause of the crash early Saturday that killed a Norwood man think alcohol might have been a factor.
Paul A. Dyke, 54, 3107 Cty Rt. 47, was killed when the Subaru he was driving on Rt. 47 rounded a curve, skidded sideways, left the road and rolled twice.
Witnesses have told Norfolk Police that Dyke had been at a tavern that night. Police said they were looking for other witnesses who might have seen him.
Norfolk police were first on the scene after a Rt. 47 resident heard the accident and called 911. The police found Dyke face down on the shoulder.
Dyke was taken to Canton-Potsdam Hospital by Norfolk EMS. He was declared dead by Coroner June Woods.
Dyke’s funeral is at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Knapps Station Community Church.
