NORWOOD — The Norfolk-Norwood Squirts are the 2017 champions of the “Shiver on the River” tournament which took place in Clayton Jan. 13-15.
The team won four straight tournament games to advance to the championship game where they defeated Ogdensburg 8-0.
Goalies Madi Tessier and Caleb Averill shared the shutout victory and championship game goals were scored by Zach Weaver, Matt Kardash, Liam McCargar (2), Tyler Bruno, Danielle Emerson Briana Labar, and Dylan Lauzon (2).
The “Hustle Award” for the championship game was awarded to Zach Weaver.
