LISBON – A 24-year-old Norfolk man is accused of stealing copper and selling it, and is under investigation for more thefts.

Tyler R. Paige, 114 Fisher Rd., Norfolk, is also accused of having ignored a stay-away order of protection.

St. Lawrence County Sheriff’s deputies charged Paige Sunday with the theft of about 35 pounds of #2 copper from 21 Jenner Rd., Lisbon, from his former employer and landlord.

Paige then sold the copper, according to deputies.

For this he was charged with petit larceny.

He is to appear in Lisbon Town Court on Aug. 8 to answer the charge.

In connection with this case, deputies also said they are investigating thefts from a location in Norfolk.

The investigation led deputies to discover that Paige allegedly violated a stay-away court order issued in Norfolk Town Court June 21.

He was charged with second-degree criminal contempt in Louisville Town Court, and released.
