MOIRA -- Zachary J. Michaud, 20, Norfolk, was charged by state police early Sunday with driving while intoxicated after a crash in Moira.

State police received a call about the accident at 2:50 a.m. and responded to Paterson Road.

Michaud was driving a 2007 Chrysler PT Cruiser north on North Woods Road when it ran off the road, struck a snow bank and became airborne, landing in the driveway of 165 Patterson Road, and then struck a 2011 Toyota Corolla which was parked and unoccupied, state police said.

With an alleged blood alcohol level of .15 percent -- three times the threshold for a DWI charge -- Michaud was charged with DWI. He also got tickets for failure to keep right, failure to stop at a stop sign, and unreasonable speed.

He is to appear in Town of Moira Court on March 31.

Michaud was not injured.
