NORFOLK -- The Norfolk Volunteer Fire Department recently received 12 new fire radios donated by American Legion Post 925.
The radios will help bring the fire department into compliance with new FCC narrowband regulations. In the past, Post 925 has also donated new thermal imaging cameras, sponsored the department’s drill team, and made other financial contributions
“The Norfolk American Legion Post 925 has been very instrumental in helping us keep up with unfunded mandates put forth by state and federal regulations,” said Fire Chief Peter Darabon.
He said people of the Town of Norfolk are thankful for the American Legion’s dedication and service to the community and country.
