NORFOLK -- As part of its 100-year anniversary celebration, the Norfolk Volunteer Fire Department members will formally dedicate the Memorial Park at the corner of West Main and Furnace streets on Saturday, Aug. 6.
A short ceremony will begin at noon and feature state Senator Joseph Griffo as keynote speaker.
Immediately following the ceremony, department members will co-host a community picnic next to the fire station. At its most recent meeting, the Town of Norfolk agreed to co-sponsor the event.
Hot dogs, hamburgers, French fries, beverages and treats for children will be served at no charge to members of the Norfolk community.
All Norfolk residents are encouraged to attend.
