POTSDAM -- The Norfolk American Legion Post 925 recently contributed $1,000 to the Canton-Potsdam Hospital Foundation’s annual campaign.

Since 1996 the post has donated more than $15,000 to the hospital.

This year’s donation will help support the purchase of new medical equipment including patient beds, a machine to detect cancer cells in tissue samples and new scalpels that use ultrasound to cut and seal vessels.

The foundation raises and manages funds for the benefit of the patients served by Canton-Potsdam Hospital. Donations may be mailed to the foundation at 50 Leroy Street, Potsdam.
