NORFOLK -- The Norfolk American Legion recently marked its 10-year anniversary. Chapter President Marc LoGalbo presented gave plaques to former president Royal Sheldon and members who have remained active members since 2005. The honorees included Barb and Richard Barish, Al and Linda Carpenter, Earl Cook, Jerry Laramay, James and Sharon Palmer, Terry Peterson, Gordon Richards, Gail Sheldon, Alfred and Robin Snider and Cindy Sullivan.
All current members received a 10-year anniversary patch to wear on the backs of their vests. An anniversary club ride is planned for May 16.
The American Legion Riders of Norfolk are also preparing a summer charity run. On July 11, they will host a 100-mile ride through the North Country to raise money for the American Legion Legacy Scholarship Fund.
