The number of non-farm jobs in St. Lawrence County remained flat in January compared the same month in 2015, according to the Department of Labor.
There were 39,900 non-farm jobs in January 2015 and 2016, DOL said.
To our east in Franklin County, the number rose by a half of a percent. It went from 18,300 in January 2015 to 18,400 in January 2016, according to the DOL.
To our west in Jefferson County, that figure jumped 2.2 percent. The DOL reports 40,500 non-farm jobs in January 2015 and 41,400 in January of this year.
