State police say an underage drinking initiative detail yielded no tickets in St. Lawrence County.
As part of the initiative, an underage volunteer was sent into each business in an attempt to have the clerk or bartender sell or serve the minor alcohol.
A total of 13 establishments were checked throughout the county and all were found to be in compliance.
The businesses included: The Madrid Hotel, 1896 State Highway 345, Madrid; Hotel Grande, 9 South Main St., Norfolk’ Stewart’s Shop, 115 East Main St., Canton; Sharlow’s Gas Station, 11970 State Highway 37, Waddington; Kunoco Food Market, 150 Lincoln Ave., Waddington; Steve’s Stop N Shop, 14169 State Highway 37, Massena; Stewart’s Shop, 10211 State Highway 56, Massena; Al Smith’s store, 4 Main St., Norfolk; Valero, 9005 State Highway 56, Norfolk; Norfolk Liquor Store, 35 South Main St., Norfolk; Sunoco Grocery Shop, 72 South Main St., Norwood; Sunoco, 147 Market St., Potsdam; CJ’s Kegs, Cases and more, 145 Market St., Potsdam.
