EDWARDS – A fire at 475 County Route 19 destroyed a home Wednesday afternoon, according to St. Lawrence County Fire Investigators.
Edwards firefighters responded to the blaze at 1:39 p.m. along with rescue squads from Hermon, Russell, and Gouverneur, investigators said.
The home was reportedly owned and occupied by Timothy Mackewics.
Fire officials said mutual aid was provided by Hermon, Russell, Fine, DeKalb, Richville, Pyrites, Heuvelton, Rensselaer Falls with Gouverneur on standby.
The cause of the fire is unknown at this time, investigators said.
No injuries were reported.
