High pressure building into the St. Lawrence Valley will give us a couple of nice days before rain moves in beginning Friday night and into next week, according to the National Weather Service.
Conditions will be dry with much higher than normal temperatures, reaching about 70 degrees today and possibly reaching into record levels Saturday.
Widespread rain is forecast to begin late Friday or early Saturday, with the chances of precipitation not falling below 50 percent through the middle of next week.

Today: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 70. East wind 5 to 8 mph.
Tonight: Partly cloudy, with a low around 57. Southeast wind 6 to 8 mph.
Friday: Cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly sunny, with a high near 74. Southwest wind 6 to 9 mph.
Friday Night: A slight chance of showers after 9pm. Increasing clouds, with a low around 53. South wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
Saturday: Showers likely, mainly after 2pm. Cloudy, with a high near 54. Calm wind becoming north 5 to 9 mph in the morning. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.
