MASSENA – The Nicandri Nature Center is asking for volunteers to help with their winter programs.
They are looking for:
• a ski and snowshoe attendant for the ski room, to greet visitors in a friendly and helpful manner, to instruct first-time users of the equipment on how to attach and remove skis and snowshoes, and to keep the ski room clean and organized
• trail guides for upcoming cross-country ski and snowshoe events of up to 25 people, to assist with the monthly moonlight ski and snowshoe events during the winter, to assist with weekly cross-country ski clinics that begin in January
• parking attendants in a potentially congested parking area, to direct drivers to parking spots in an efficient and safe manner and to help with safe exit procedures.
Training will be provided.
