POTSDAM -- The Potsdam Central School Booster Club recently hosted a grand opening for their new ticket booth at the high school.
Thank you for your continued support with editorials for the PCS Booster Club.
Booster club vice president Sarah Bullard (PCS's Booster Club Vice president) made the opening remarks at Potsdam's homecoming game against Malone, in between the junior varsity and varsity games.
"This beautiful building was designed and constructed by students here at Potsdam Central High School, led by instructor Mr. Nick Leuthauser. The project was made possible from donations including Merrimans of Norwood and the Phillips family, on behalf of Garrett Phillips. Garrett was a Potsdam student whose life was taken too soon, but his memory will live on forever, here at Potsdam Central,” Bullard told the crowd.
There is a plaque inside the ticket booth that reads "The PCS Booster Club is pleased to present this ticket booth. Designed by Mr. Nick Leuthauser's 2016-2017 CEA class and Constructed by the DDP class. The building was proudly assembled with donations made in memory of Garrett Phillips."
Phillips was a Potsdam Central student who was murdered in October 2011 at age 12.
