LISBON -- The Lisbon Town Recreation department recently installed a new playground at the Fields and Friends Park.
It a project which began almost 10 years ago with the original grant money coming from Iroquois gas.
Creating Healthy Places also provided grant money to help purchase the equipment.
The Lisbon Lions Club donated the bench, which is next to the playground.
This playground will be open throughout the year, but town recreation officials say it will be used heavily during baseball and soccer seasons while families are watch their children play sports.
The playground is geared for ages 5 to 12.
The town will install a second facility for ages 2 to 5 in the spring and summer of 2016.
