OGDENSBURG – Pediatrician Dr. Jose Megna has joined the medical staff at Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center.

Megna is seeing patients at Claxton-Hepburn, 100 Horwood Place. Appointments can be made by calling 394-9462.

Megna comes to Ogdensburg from IMHOTEP Medical Care, Spring Valley, New York, where he had a pediatric practice since 2010. Prior to that, he was at Mountain View Medical Clinic, in rural Dinuba, California, for over two years.

Megna received his medical degree from the Universidad Nacional de Buenos Aires, Argentina, and completed residencies in pediatrics and neonatology in his native Argentina and the United States.

Megna is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Throughout his training and career he has won awards and published several articles in the field of pediatrics. He has a special interest in pediatric respiratory conditions and newborn care. He speaks English, Spanish and French fluently.

“I really enjoy working with children and their families,” Megna said. “I hope to bring my history, optimism and hope and receive the same.

“Claxton-Hepburn matched my expectations by offering a large scope of medical assistance in the field of pediatrics,” he said.

Megna lives in Ogdensburg with his wife, Beatrice.

“Ogdensburg is a great place for me and my family to live. My wife is very interested in the United States culture, lifestyle, environment and geography.”

Dr. Megna’s interests include history, philosophy and being outdoors observing nature and the environment.
