POTSDAM -- Air Methods, an air medical transportation service, officially began operating an EC135 twin-engine medical helicopter in Potsdam at 7 a.m. today under its LifeNet brand.
The new helicopter service will extend air ambulance service to St. Lawrence County and surrounding areas for faster medical response.
To celebrate the new service, a ceremony will be held 6 p.m. Oct 11.
The ribbon cutting will be at 6:30 p.m. at Potsdam Municipal Airport, Damon Field, 150 Hatch Road.
