POTSDAM -- A new location for laboratory specimen collection has opened at Canton-Potsdam Hospital’s new medical campus, 49 Lawrence Ave.
The lab will serve the practices located in the building and function as a stand-alone laboratory collection site for any patient needing a laboratory test.
It is staffed by a certified phlebotomist and follows all quality protocols of the main hospital laboratory.
Except for drug testing, which must still be performed on the hospital’s main campus by regulation, and glucose tolerance testing, which must be performed in close proximity to the emergency department, the new laboratory offers comprehensive service.
The lab is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Patients may walk in without an appointment or schedule a visit at 800-227-1074.
