POTSDAM — Members of four New Horizons bands met for an afternoon of music-making this past fall at the Crane School of Music.
Hosted by the New Horizons Band of Northern New York, the gathering also included musicians from the Ottawa New Horizons Band, the Montreal New Horizons Band and the Oswego County New Horizons Band, coming from as far as 2 1/2 hours away. More than 80 musicians lead by seven conductors collaborated to sight-read 12 pieces of music.
Following the music reading session, the musicians made their way to a nearby church hall for a potluck dinner provided by band members.
