COLTON -- In a partnership with Colton-Pierrepont Central School Superintendent Joe Kardash and art teacher Crystal Hewer, Cornerstone Services HVAC commissioned two pieces of art for the new Colton Fire Department building.
Two small parts of the heat system that Cornerstone Services installed in the new building needed to be covered with a metal heat shield. Cornerstone Services technician Shane Tessier contacted Joe Kardash, thinking that it would be a great opportunity for the students of the Colton-Pierrepont Central School to contribute to this new community building.
Paige Sutherland and seven other talented students, under the guidance of art teacher Crystal Hewer, designed and painted the heat shields as a part of their art class.
Cornerstone Services was honored to play a small role in partnering the new Colton Fire Department with the Colton-Pierrepont Central School art department. These heat shields are stunning pieces of art that will be treasured for years to come.
