MASSENA -- A local car enthusiast who recently returned to the area after 25 years is looking to start a car club and hopes to host a summer auto show with a well-known actor as a guest.
Lloyd St. Louis wants people to join the Fourth Coast Cruiser Club. They will next meet at the Massena Chamber of Commerce, Church Street, on March 28 at 2 p.m.
Although he doesn’t have a date set in stone, St. Louis said he is working with Monaco Enterprises to host a summer car show. He wants to bring actor Tom Wolpat, who played Luke Duke in the television show “The Dukes of Hazard,” along with the iconic General Lee, the Duke brothers’ car.
St. Louis said he has quite a bit of experience with car clubs and organizing auto shows. He said the Wheels and Wings show, which his former club held in Dutchess County, drew about 5,000 people per show for the seven years he ran it.
Anyone interested in joining the Fourth Coast Cruiser Club can contact St. Louis at lloyds64ss@aol.com or look up the club on Facebook.
