WADDINGTON -- A new artists’ group will occupy 10 Main St. in downtown Waddington.
The group is calling themselves Lake St. Lawrence Arts, referring to a manmade lake area in the St. Lawrence River.
A news release from the group calls themselves “an emerging organization that offers local and regional artists an opportunity to participate in an affordable, engaging arts environment.”
“Its purpose is to support and promote area artists, providing space, resources, and all of the benefits that come with a cooperative, collaborative approach,” the release said.
The 10 Main St. building will include a gallery, classroom, meeting space and a revolving studio area.
“The goal is to create a vibrant, inviting arts community that will nurture artists and attract visitors,” the release said.
They are taking a survey “in order to identify and meet the needs of local and regional artists,” the group said. It is at http://goo.gl/forms/sT3j4p4PbV.
