CANTON -- Nearly 1,200 students from 204 colleges and universities spent their winter break taking a class during SUNY Canton's Winterterm session, which is an enrollment increase of more than 46 percent from 2009-2010.
That is more than seven times as large as the 160 students who enrolled in the first Winterterm session five years ago.
Director of Online Learning Kyle Brown said the many popular courses were full or near capacity. He said more than 75 percent of the enrollments came from institutions other than SUNY Canton.
