Strong winds that are blowing through St. Lawrence have knocked out power to about 1,000 National Grid customers.
The hardest hit areas so far are DePeyster, which has 259 homes without power and Heuvelton with 256 houses in the dark.
National Grid reports that 163 customers are impacted in Macomb and another 109 in Morristown.
Other towns with homes that have no power include DeKalb with 29, Colton with 20, less than five in Gouverneur and Rossie, and 64 customers in Oswegatchie.
Officials at the power company expect power to be restored between 3 and 4 p.m. in all towns.
