Near normal temperatures, light snow expected this weekend in North Country

Welcome relief to the North Country is here in the form of near-normal temperatures, while light snowfall can be expected over the next couple of days.

Periods of light snow showers will continue into this afternoon and tonight, with accumulations generally a dusting to two inches.

The high temperature today is expected to be near 30 degrees, dropping into the teens tonight.

The National Weather Service says some passing weak systems may bring some additional light snow Sunday and Monday, but no significant precipitation is expected over the next week.

Near normal temperatures this weekend will warm to above normal towards the middle of next week before a Canadian high brings a return to slightly below normal temperatures to end the work week.
