CANTON – North County Public Radio has announced plans to expand local and regional investigative work by NCPR’s news team through creation of a new Daylight Reporting Fund.
The station will conduct a special targeted fundraiser beginning June 2, with a $50,000 goal. Funds raised will help defray costs including accessing documents, travel and equipment.
“NCPR has won numerous awards and national acclaim for our journalism. The launch of this new fund will help us do more of this trustworthy, fact-based and unbiased reporting, and we hope listeners and our online audience will show their support,” said station manager Ellen Rocco.
“We are asking those who rely North Country Public Radio and ncpr.org to help us fight for the facts with the creation of this new fund.”
Contributions to NCPR and the Daylight Reporting Fund can be made at ncpr.org/give.
