Warm and wet - that's what the National Weather Service predicts for St. Lawrence County in the coming days.
They forecast partly sunny today with temperatures hitting in Canton, Massena and Ogdensburg. Tonight, the NWS estimates a 20 percent chance of showers, starting after 7 p.m. in Massena and possibly not hitting Potsdam until as late as 9 p.m.
On Tuesday, temperatures are predicted to go as high as 78 in Massena with mostly cloudy skies. That's expected to reach the low 60s at night throughout the county, and a few degrees cooler in the higher elevations.
Although temperatures are forecast at 73 in Canton, Gouverneur, Massena and Potsdam on Wednesday, the NWS is calling for a 40 percent chance of showers after 8 a.m. They say rain is likely Wednesday night and continuing through Friday.

Today - Partly sunny, with a high near 65. South wind around 6 mph.
Tonight - A 20 percent chance of showers after 9pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 56. South wind around 8 mph.
Tuesday - Mostly sunny, with a high near 77. South wind 7 to 13 mph.
Tuesday night - Mostly cloudy, with a low around 63. South wind around 10 mph, with gusts as high as 23 mph.
Wednesday - A 40 percent chance of showers after 8am. Cloudy, with a high near 73. South wind 5 to 7 mph, with gusts as high as 21 mph. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.
Wednesday night - Rain likely, mainly after midnight. Cloudy, with a low around 60. East wind 5 to 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
Thursday - Rain likely. Cloudy, with a high near 71. East wind around 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%.
Thursday night - Showers likely. Cloudy, with a low around 57. Southeast wind 5 to 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%.
Friday - Showers likely. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 65. South wind around 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%.
