National Grid working to restore power to nearly 800 homes in Canton, Potsdam, Colton, DeKalb, Hermon

A snow storm knocked power out to hundreds of homes this morning in St. Lawrence County and many are waiting for power company workers to fix issues in their hometown.

In total, 796 homes lost power this morning across the county.

Around 70 homes in Canton have been impacted with power expected to be restored by 11:15 a.m., according to National Grid.

The 181 homes in Potsdam impacted should see power return around 11:15 a.m. and 162 homes in Stockholm without power should have it fixed around 11 a.m.

In Colton 111 National Grid customers are without power. Workers should have the lights back on around 10:45 a.m.

National Grid reports 40 residences in DeKalb are in the dark with an estimated time of 10:30 a.m. to have power restored. Seventeen homes in Fine are without power. It should be fixed by 11:15 a.m.

Fowler has around 14 homes in the dark with power expected to be restored around 10:45 a.m.

National Grid reports 8 customers in Gouveneur are without power, until around 10:30 a.m.

In Hermon there are 16 customers effected with an estimated time of restoration at 10:30 a.m.

The less than five homes in Lawrence, Hammond, Madrid and Lisbon should have power returned before lunch time.

Power workers expect to have power back on in Hopkinton around 10:45 a.m. to the dozen homes impacted there.

National Grid says workers are still assessing the damage in Oswegatchie that is impacting less than five customers.

Lisbon has around 20 homes without power. It should be fixed around 11:15 a.m.

The 25 residence’s in Parishville should have power around 10:45 a.m., National Grid says.

Macomb residents without power can expect the lights to come back on around 10 a.m.

National Grid says 7 customers without power in Pierrepont should have it returned by 10:15 a.m.

In the southern part of the county, Rossie has 95 homes without power and Pitcairn has 20. Power should be fixed around 11:15 a.m.

Several schools delayed this morning due to poor road conditions. Snowfall is expected to continue today, ending something this afternoon or evening.
