PARISHVILLE — A Parishville man was killed in a logging accident on Ashton Road Aug. 31, according to St. Lawrence County sheriff’s deputies.
William P. Meashaw, 73, was struck by a limb in the upper left shoulder area and became pinned underneath a tree, officers said.
St. Lawrence County Coroner June Wood was called and pronounced Meashaw deceased at the scene, deputies said.
An autopsy showed that he died from a heart attack related to the stress of the incident, officers said.
No foul play is suspected.
