BRASHER -- A North Lawrence man has been charged with dumping construction waste after an investigation by St. Lawrence County Sheriff's deputies.

Deputies say Randy C. Lamb, 32, 1535 St. Rt. 11C, was trying to avoid the expense of proper disposal from a construction job he had been doing when he dumped "a large quantity of debris" on the roadsides along the Hopson Road, the O'Neil Road, and Cty. Rt. 38, including house siding, cardboard, old rugs, insulation and other material.

The sheriff's office began their investigation when they received a complaint on June 26 and found the debris. They say at least one motorist had a flat tire as the result of driving over some of the debris before Town of Brasher highway workers could remove it.

Lamb was issued an appearance ticket for Brasher Town Court at a later date.
