POTSDAM -- The search has begun for musical talent for 45th Annual Potsdam Summer Festival July 12 to 14. The Potsdam Chamber of Commerce is accepting applications for music acts for the main Market Street stage on all three days and for a few slots at the gazebo in Ives Park during the Saturday events.
“Soloists, small group ensembles and duos are always welcome,” said chamber Executive Director Marylee E. Ballou. “We look for a variety of musical genres when creating our schedule. We focus on local talent and try to mix in new talent with festival favorites.”
Application forms can be obtained from the chamber office at 24 Market St. 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, by email at potsdam@slic.com, or by calling 274-9000.
Applications will be accepted until April 20 or until the schedule is full.
“The schedule fills up quickly, so it is best not to wait,” said Ballou.
