CANTON -- A motorcyclist was charged with 19 counts after allegedly driving on a sidewalk and without lights, reflectors or brakes.
On Tuesday at 5 p.m., village police say they charged Lorenzo L. Blanding of Sumter, S.C.
Police say he was charged with driving on sidewalk, improper or unsafe turn without signaling, improper right turn, no horn, driving on shoulder/limited access highway, unsafe movement from lane, failure to notify DMV of address change, unlawful operating on highway, no rear view mirror on motorcycle, inadequate/no stop lamps, inadequate/no tail lamps, inadequate/no lights, inadequate/no brakes, inadequate/no reflector on motorcycle, inadequate/no wind screen on motorcycle, unlicensed operation, unregistered motorcycle and no insurance.
Blanding was arraigned in Canton Town Court on a misdemeanor count of third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and released on his own recognizance, police said.
He was to have re-appeared on the traffic infractions on Wednesday, police said.
