AKWASASNE –- The rain held of most of the day at Mohawk International Raceway, but the immanent precipitation that was forecasted finally hit, and track officials were forced to cancel Friday night's racing action that was to be presented by Cedar View Golf Course.

Race fans will be treated to an exciting event this Friday night as Tarbell Management Group presents the Empire Super Sprints, Go Nuclear Late Models and the TUSA Mod Lite Series as well as a full program of Modifieds, Sportsman and Bandits.

The Sprints are always a crowd pleaser, and the Go Nuclear Late Model Series has grown immensely over the first two years of their existence and will get their 2012 season started on Friday. The TUSA Mod Lite Series will also bring in several cars, and will battle against the great weekly CKON 97.3 Mod Lite competitors at MIR. The Pro Stock Division will have the week off.

The action packed schedule at Mohawk International Raceway for Friday, June 8th will begin at 7:45 p.m. General Admission for this must see event is only $22 for adults.

Mohawk International Raceway is located in Akwesasne, NY, midway between the Seaway International Bridge to Cornwall, ONT and the Akwesasne Mohawk Casino. Racing is held on Friday nights at 7:45 PM from May through September, featuring the Frenchie's Chevrolet DIRTcar 358 Modifieds, Sportsman and Pro Stocks, as well as the Bandit division.
